The brief for this Typography module was to create a piece of work that was inspired by a BBC episode from a series called Shortcuts.
Our task was to select one of the stories in one episode and create a typography-based design.
The book itself has 20 pages not including the front and back cover as well as the plastic coverslip, bound in the Japanese binding techniques that allow a more adept looking bind.
The first page is hard to understand when on its own and looks messy, however, when the red filter is placed over the text the reader can easily read the text. This is called an Anaglyph.
The following page is the contents which consist of 2 pages. The overlay is cut out in a fingerprint design that is to signify nefarious people wanting no digital fingerprint while online.
This overlay covers the text underneath that also uses the red filter to see the correct text, to see the correct page numbers, the reader would turn the page.
The remaining pages are of the Anaglyph style that hides poems, letters and things left unspoken. the page order goes from Love to Loss.
